How to get details of any vehicle by its Number in a minute in INDIA

Hello Guys! A time arises when we need to confirm the owner of a vehicle during sale/purchase of a used vehicle.

I was going through the same time when a close friend of mine was going to buy a used car in Delhi. We hopped from one dealer to another and tried OLX. Finally, after a search of 3 months we zeroed down a car and started talking to the person who added the advertisement on OLX.com.

When we started talking to him, we asked him to show the original RC to which he showed the photocopy and said that he will show at the time of deal. We insisted him that he shows us his own ID so that we confirm the original owner of the Car. He again refused giving the same reason that he will show that on time of deal.

We got confused and kept ourselves on the safer side. We asked him to meet again in a week for the deal. In the meanwhile we started finding a source which can give us the exact details of the vehicle. We found it after long detailed search and I am going to share the same with all of you so that it can be of some help to you people.

There are many Applications (apps to be downloaded) which tells you the details but my method is government approved and you don’t require any downloads.
What you have do is:



STEP 1 – Create a text SMS on your mobile.

STEP 2 – Text contains on 2 words. The first word is VAHAN and the second word is the complete vehicle number like if you planning to search the owner details of a vehicle number DL 12 CAB 4141 then the text will be

                                                VAHAN DL12CAB4141

STEP 3 – Send it to 7738299899 

In some seconds you will receive a SMS from AD-VAAHAN with complete details of the vehicle like
1.     Registration Transport Office
2.     Owner Name
3.     Number of Owners
4.     Vehicle Details
5.     RC Expiry Date
6.     TAX Details

After getting the details, we didn’t buy that vehicle as the details were not similar and the behaviour of the seller was fishy. Presently, my friend owns a used Baleno.
