I work in one of the leading banks of India and major part of my work is either done on laptop or in meetings which means I stay indoors all the time of the day. But 9 hours of sitting job in a cubicle including 30 minutes of lunch was not the thing for me. No one in my office had time to talk to each other or share anything. Work work and work was the motto of our office lives and you can’t expect much from people living in a city like Gurgaon.  Months went by and my patience to deal with this routine was getting over. Sometimes I used to daydream about traveling and roaming around without any work or any mental pressure. The year is 2100. India is the most populated country of the world despite the fact that millions of Indians are settled in different countries worldwide. There are no states now. The country is divided into different zones counted from the capital city which is at the heart of the country. Every zone is divided into 5 subzones making a total of 20 subzones and every subzone is like a Metro city.  The capital city of India is now the most developed city of the world comprising of Multi Layered Flyovers, Skyways, Vertical Villages, Metro rails, canal based transportation system and much more. The city is completely under video surveillance and everything is managed in the city automatically by Make in India Robots. However, on the flip side, India is also ranked number one in terms of pollution and crime all over the world. As the three day long weekend was approaching, we were getting anxious to plan on some short trip. After days of debates and discussions we couldn’t come to a conclusion. It was one day to go and not giving up, I kept searching for places. While googling, I came across the Chopta- Tungnath trek. Reading the reviews and looking at the pictures it seemed like a good option and the decision was made. Without much planning & preparation, we packed our bags. The journey started on 01-10-15 at 2000 hours. Already late as per plan, we headed on NH 24 and met huge traffic. It looked like everyone on this planet was going to that side. It took us more than 2 hours to cross Ghaziabad and our car got in its 4 th gear after 2 hours of travel that evening. We by-passed the major towns of Meerut & Muzaffarnagar and halted on the way for quick dinner at a dhaba.
